1) AirBandB

2) Agoda- This is likely the most popular booking engine in Asia. Often will find the best deals and will have a much larger catelog of listings. Where Agoda really fails is you canno’t search by price.. quite infuriating actually as this option used to be availalbe.

3) Trivago- Trivago consolidates alot of the popular booking engienes, it is espeically useful when one of the hotels decides to have a steep discount.

WI-FI in Bali

One of the biggest concerns of the modern traveller is the need for Wi-Fi. There are many places that offer free Wi-Fi but few can provide the speeds accustomed to more developed countries. Fast and free public Wi-Fi is nearly impossible to find. Although there are certain times in which the speed can be much greater. The other problem with many of the restaurants that offer free Wi-Fi are often exposed to the elements and with the humidity can be uncomfortable for long periods of time. These same places often offer Wi-Fi but are less the pleased when you order a coffee and hang around for hours.

Starbucks outlets- Starbucks coffee are renowned worldwide as having consistent Wi-Fi speeds. The Wi-Fi at these locations is certainly not fast most of the day. Nonetheless I have found around 9am and 12 you can get some decent speeds. Starbucks was built on the free Wi-Fi and lounging.

McDonalds- A few years ago McDonalds made a drastic change around the world placing Bistros into their stores and becoming friendlier to the Starbucks crowd.

My favourite Restaurant in Bali

I have been to many restaurants in Bali both western styles and local. My favorite however is a placed called Warung Nikmat. It is a very clean and well run restaurant. What makes it stand out from the other places I have been is the variety of dishes offered and the intense flavors. You will see some tourists here but the majority of patrons seem to be local Indonesians. Also the price is phenomenal I always fill my plate with different array of items and the price rarely is above 30 000 RP. Make sure to check this place out when your in town.
